鄧建新，男，1982年5月生，教授，博士生導師。擔任《Research in Plant Disease》雜志副編輯；中國植物病理學會教學專業(yè)委員會委員；湖北省植物病理學會副秘書長；第一批入選長江大學“菁英人才”。擔任《Plant Disease》，《Canadian Journal of Plant Pathology》等10余個雜志的審稿人。近五年累計發(fā)表科研論文40余篇，其中SCI論文30余篇。
■ 教育及工作背景
2006年6月本科畢業(yè)于吉林農(nóng)業(yè)大學中藥學專業(yè)，獲學士學位；2009年2月碩士畢業(yè)于韓國忠南大學植物病理學與細胞工程專業(yè)，獲碩士學位；2012年8月博士畢業(yè)于韓國忠南大學植物病理學與細胞工程專業(yè)，獲博士學位；2012年8月-2013年5月在韓國忠南大學農(nóng)業(yè)研究所從事博士后研究工作；2013年1月至今在長江大學農(nóng)學院工作；2016年11月-2017年2月在韓國忠南大學分子植物病理實驗室進行訪問研究。
■ 主要研究領域
鏈格孢屬系統(tǒng)學：結(jié)合形態(tài)學和分子系統(tǒng)學方法研究鏈格孢菌種類多樣性和種間系統(tǒng)發(fā)育關系。此外，還利用分子生物學方法研究鏈格孢菌的致病機制。
植物病原真菌學：利用形態(tài)學、多基因位點序列分析和致病性檢測，對植物病害病原進行鑒定（如：湖北秭歸臍橙、興山核桃和武穴佛手山藥等真菌病原的系統(tǒng)研究）。
生物多樣性：從事外來入侵物種調(diào)查；從事大型真菌資源調(diào)查，挖掘有益的側(cè)耳真菌內(nèi)生細菌資源；從事植物內(nèi)生真菌和細菌多樣性研究，篩選生防菌株。

承擔本科生《普通植物病理學》、《微生物學》等課程。
承擔研究生《真菌學》、《植物病原真菌學》等課程。
基于植物病害標本學生庫建設的實踐教學改革（2022265），湖北省教育廳，主持。
植物保護專業(yè)生物農(nóng)藥與生物肥料產(chǎn)業(yè)班實踐教學模式研究（JY2016014），校級重點，主持。
